# Murder Maps

> Murder Maps is a free iPhone app that maps real, publicly documented homicide cases within a 30-mile radius of the user's location — including cases featured on investigative programs such as Forensic Files, 20/20 and Cold Justice. Each pin marks where a body was discovered, with the victim's story, case details and what investigators uncovered.

Murder Maps is published by Plank Tech LLC. It is free with no subscription and no in-app purchases, requires iOS 16.6 or later, and is iPhone-only. Version 1.4.0 contains over 420 documented incidents and holds a 4.6-star average on the US App Store. It is rated 16+ for frequent mature and horror themes.

The app requires location access to draw the map. Location data is processed on device and is never uploaded to a server; Apple's privacy label lists only a device identifier, collected for app functionality and not linked to the user's identity. No account, email address or sign-up is required.

Cases are drawn from publicly documented, previously reported homicides and are presented as records rather than entertainment. Corrections and case submissions are handled through the "Submit an Incident" screen inside the app.
